We seek to work more closely with our clients to improve communications, make best use of resources and share risks and rewards. This close working takes a number of forms from long-term preferred supplier relationship with Beca acting in a traditional consulting role to full equity participation in projects where we are a member of a delivery consortium. Projects profiled here include a US$225 million wastewater plant for a city of over 900,000 people as well as a major BOOT scheme over 25 years. Working on the other side of the fence, Beca has acted as advisor for banking consortia and end user clients on such schemes from US$12 million to over US$500 million. This work puts us at the forefront of the global move towards greater use of public-private partnerships.

More recently, we have entered the Alliancing arena, where client, constructor and consultant join together to deliver a major project sharing risks and rewards and competing together to achieve outstanding outcomes. Results to date are impressive, showing considerable improvement on programme and cost savings achieved in traditional delivery environments.
